A Mother-of-Pearl Shell, the interior densely carved with a dragon fish upon a hedge of auspicious fruit and flowers, behind which lies a mountain lake enclosed in a walled garden, containing a festive scene with dancers and musicians entertaining figures at repose on the lakeshore amongst trees and pavilions. The original wood stand carved to support the shell as an upturned lotus leaf supported on another downturned.
